We welcome VSO volunteer Paul Knipe to the team and would like to thank Rebecca Booker, the previous VSO volunteer, for her valued contribution to PCA.

PCA has conducted two workshops on Lessons learnt reconciliation Commission (LLRC) recommendation in Batticaloa and Ampar Districts to talk about civil society role in implementing LLRC recommendations. More than 75 people participated. This work shops were done with the support of Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) and National Peace Council (NPC).

PCA staff have conducted workshop on Participatory Rural Approach (PRA) , Conflict Transformation and Conflict Resolution, Participation and Empowerment and Non Violent Approaches to other partners who works together on European Commission (EC) funded project.

PCA a founding member of the National Network for Reconciliation, a nationwide coalition working with civil society and local government to address reconciliation issues PCA’s Equal and Active Voices in Ampara project, funded by Cafod, successfully up and running

T. Thayaparan - National Coordinator
Thaya is a Founder member of PCA and has been National coordinator for the last seven years. He has 15 years local and international experience of facilitating and training on conflict matters and non violent processes. He hold an MA in Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation from the American University and an honorary doctorate from Ruhunu University. In 2009 Thaya received the Maja Khone International Peace Award for his international peace work.

Mr.M.D.Victor - National Finance Officer
Victor has been the National Finance Officerfor PCA since February, 2014.
Pro-active and results oriented with over 12 years of financial experience in accounting and financial management. He has good experience in Budgeting and Planning, Financial Analysis Management, Inventory Management Accounting, Investment Strategies, P&L Analysis, Reporting/ Documentation, Standard Cost Analysis, Taxation, Variance Analysis. He holds a Bachelor of CommerceDegree ( B.Com ) from Eastern University of Sri Lan

ka , Higher National Diploma in Accountancy ( HNDA ) from SLIATE and following M.Com at Kamaraj University of India. He has a Membership in Association of Accounting Technician ( MAAT ).


Chandrasekaram Nandakumar - Project Manager
Chandrasekaram Nandakumar is been working with NGOs since Jan 2005 soon after Tsunami, with Oxfam GB, The Salvation Army, Italian Overseas and Sarvodaya and then joined with PCA in Oct 2013. He was living in UK around 08 years and came back to Sri Lanka in 2003. With his experience in several areas/sectors also with the community in Ampara District help him to share those learning’s and experience in this project.


I. Suthavasan - Project Manager
Suthavasan works for PCA as a Project manager in the SPICE project with youth beneficiaries for enhancing ethnic cohesion. He has seven years experience in working with community in different field and he is aDiploma holder in social science at OUSL and continuing the degree program in the same field and familiar with PCA through the peace& justice program.

T. Rajandran - Team Leader
T.Rajandran working as a team leader in this organization and he is peace worker. He has experience in NGO sector for 15 years at Worked with several non-government organizations and he is facilitator and Trainer for peace building and conflict resolution. He was vested several countries in Europe and Asia for a peace studies and peace work and he was holds diploma in counseling at south Eastern University of Sri Lanka. Horned “Desamaniya” award on 2013 for his peace effort also he is justice of the peace for whole island.


M.M. Sameer - Project Officer
Mansoor Mohammed Sameer is working as a project officer in Peace and community action. He has 8 years’ experience in NGO field he was in a several NGOs (Family planning Association, Red Cross, Community Trust fund, World Bank and Center for Peace studies). He is a facilitator in various subjects to the several organizations. He holds BA in sociology and completed Diplomas in human rights, Human Recourse Management and professionalcounseling. Basically he is a social worker. He received honorary award Desamaniya in 2013 for his social dedication and human rights activities.

M.G. Randima Lankani - Project Officer
YM.G.Randima Lankani working as a project Officer in PCA.she has experience in NGO for 11years at worked with srilankared cross society and then joint with PCA Aug 2013.


S. Shifani Mohamed - Project Officer
Shifani Mohamed joined PCA in 2nd of June 2014 in the SPICE project as a Project Officer. He has four years experience in working with non government organization in different field and in different area with the communities and Private/Government sectors. He is a social activist & gained trainings on project management, Disability development, youth empowerments & Peace building. Readingfinal year BA (General) degree with the main subject of Sociology at SEUSL & completed HNDE, Diploma and NCE in English .Interested in social & Peace works.

K.T. Rohini - Project Officer
Rohini works as a Project Officer in PCA in the SPICE project. Studied at VisakaBaliga M.M.V, Bandaravala. She has fourteen years experience in the community works in several areas in north and East. She is the member of National Disaster Response Team and gained trainer of trainees on First aid TOT, Disaster Management TOT. She is interested in peace building programme.


Veerakkuddy Kumuthini - Admin & Finance Assistant
Kumuthini is working as an Admin Assistant in PCA. She has experience as facilitator and Trainer for peace building and conflict resolutionand has 14 years experience in Local NGO’s & INGO’s sector. She has worked with “Women Development Center” and Save the Children in Sri Lanka before coming toPCA in 2009.

P.Yuketha – Admin & Finance Assistant
Yuketha studied at Vincent Girls’ High National School. After completing AAT foundation and while following CIMA she decided to work and joined PCA on June 2014 as Admin & Finance Assistant.





Amal Chathuranga Hettiarachchh - Project Officer.
Amal joined PCA in June 2012 as Peace Coach.Amal lives in Walasmulla Matara and holding diplomas on Community development and Psychological Counseling from the Ruhunu University. Amal has seven years of experiences in working with community. His areas of interesting are Child protection and development, and working with community based. He remains as a field officer in Matara for PCA following the end of the Matara projects, and continues to carry out field work and coaching with the communities PCA supports.
