The Youth Group Bi-Annual Meeting of the Promoting Integration of Peace & Ecology (PIPE) project was held on 9th December 2024 at Christa Hall, Kalmunai. The event saw active participation from youths, government stakeholders, and community representatives from Kalmunai, Navithanvely, and Uhana Divisional Secretariat divisions.
The primary focus of the event was the screening of the Integrated Ecology Peace Building Youth Exchange video documentary, which featured contributions from the project’s partner organizations in Colombia, Myanmar, Palestine, and South Sudan. These videos showcased the experiences and initiatives of young people involved in peacebuilding and ecological sustainability in their respective countries. After the screening, participants shared their thoughts and reactions to the videos. They also engaged in an interactive Q&A session where youth from different countries asked questions, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas and experiences. The meeting not only strengthened the global connection among youth but also deepened the collective commitment to promoting peace and environmental awareness.
